Summer School - Edition 2025

The 2025 Edition of the Master WAVES Summer School is just around the corner, taking place from Monday 16th to Thursday 19th June, at the Gandia Campus. This year’s theme focuses on Advanced Numerical Methods in Acoustics and Wave Propagation.

Throughout four days of intensive learning, participants will explore cutting-edge modeling and simulation techniques in acoustics, including meshless methods, finite element and boundary element formulations, metamaterials, and FDTD approaches. The program will delve into applications ranging from porous media and thermal-viscous effects in fluids to the use of high-performance computing in large heterogeneous domains.

Attendees will gain hands-on experience through sessions on tools like COMSOL and learn how to optimize and simulate wave phenomena using state-of-the-art techniques. Topics will also cover theoretical foundations, including homogenization and the interaction between acoustic waves and complex materials.

Social and networking activities include:

  • A welcome ceremony with representatives from UC, UPV, AMU, and ECM
  • The Summer School Dinner (evening of Wednesday 18th June)
  • Multiple opportunities for interaction with leading researchers and fellow participants

This summer school offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge in computational acoustics within an international and interdisciplinary setting.
